Spotify has released its Global Impact List for Nigeria, showcasing the top 30 Nigerian songs — as well as tracks featuring Nigerian artists — that made a significant mark on global listeners during the first half of 2025. This curated list highlights the Nigerian songs with the highest international streaming numbers, specifically measuring listenership outside of Nigeria.
Topping the list is Rema, whose latest international hit continues to cement his status as one of Afrobeats’ biggest global ambassadors. His track not only claimed the top spot but also earned the title of the most-exported Nigerian song in the first half of the year. This milestone adds to Rema’s growing list of achievements, including his historic feat as the first Afrobeats artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify with a single song.
Following closely is Afrobeats heavyweight Davido, who dominates the list with a remarkable nine entries — the highest of any artist. The success of his fifth studio album, 5ive, played a major role in this achievement, with multiple tracks from the project resonating with audiences worldwide.
Burna Boy also made a strong showing with five songs on the list, making him the second most-featured artist. His high-profile collaboration Tatata featuring Travis Scott led his entries, while three other tracks from his recently released eighth album, No Sign of Weakness, also made the cut.
Other Nigerian stars contributing to Afrobeats’ global momentum include Adekunle Gold, Asake, Ayra Starr, Teni, Omah Lay, and Shallipopi — each earning well-deserved spots on the list thanks to their continued international appeal. Fast-rising artist Chella scored an impressive fourth place with his viral hit My Darling, while rising talent Minz appeared on the list through his collaboration with Ivorian artist Himra on the popular track Number 1.
One of the most notable entries this year is gospel artist Lawrence Oyor, whose inspirational hit Favour achieved viral success and has emerged as one of the biggest Nigerian songs of 2025 so far, marking a rare crossover of gospel music into mainstream global charts.
Together, these artists reflect the growing global influence of Nigerian music, reinforcing Afrobeats’ status as a dominant cultural force on the international stage
