Apple is set to invest an additional $100 billion in the United States, bringing its total commitment to $600 billion over the next four years. This announcement will be officially made at a White House event with President Donald Trump, where the tech giant will solidify its plans to boost domestic manufacturing. The investment builds upon Apple’s previous pledge to spend over $500 billion in the US and hire 20,000 people, announced in February. This move is part of Apple’s largest-ever spend commitment, driven by the tech industry’s growing focus on artificial intelligence technology. Apple’s increased investment aims to reshore production of critical components, protecting America’s economic and national security. The company has been navigating President Trump’s tariffs, which have cost Apple $800 million in the June quarter. Despite these challenges, Apple continues to expand its US presence.
