The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) have jointly repatriated 51 foreign nationals convicted of cyber-terrorism and internet fraud. The deportees include 50 Chinese nationals and one Tunisian. This latest exercise brings the total number of foreign convicts deported to 102 since the operation started on August 15, 2025. According to the EFCC, the collaboration aims to crack down on cybercrime activities in the country.
