Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has expressed disappointment that the team has yet to receive the $100,000 reward promised by the Federal Government following their victory at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco. In an interview, Ajibade stated that none of the promises made by the government have been fulfilled, including the payment. The team had been rewarded with national honours of Officer of the Order of Niger (OON) and other incentives, including $100,000 and a three-bedroom flat for each player, after clinching the record-extending WAFCON title under Ajibade’s leadership.
